About Peninsula Scouts
Peninsula Scouts is a resource hub for Scouting America unit leaders across the Kitsap and Olympic Peninsulas (Peninsulas Territory)—built to help you grow membership, improve retention, and run a program families want to stay in.
Why we exist
Unit leaders are busy—and the best ideas are often scattered across emails, binders, and old links. We bring proven recruiting, onboarding, and program-planning tools into one place so leaders can find what they need fast, share it easily, and put it into action at the next committee meeting.
Our mission
Make membership growth and retention easier for every unit
We focus on the moments that matter: welcoming new families, delivering a strong first 90 days, communicating clearly, and planning engaging programs. Our resources are designed for packs, troops, Venturing crews, and Explorer posts—adaptable to your unit’s size, schedule, and community.

Built by leaders who care about the local program
Peninsula Scouts is maintained by volunteers and Scouting supporters who believe great units are built through simple, repeatable systems—recruiting plans, welcoming checklists, and program calendars that keep youth engaged. If you’re trying to solve a specific challenge, we’ll point you to the right tools (or help you create one).
How we help (in practice)

Find the right resource fast
Use curated guides and templates for recruiting, onboarding, and program planning—organized for quick sharing with your committee and key leaders.
2
Put it into your unit’s calendar
Turn ideas into action with ready-to-use calendars, meeting plans, and communication checklists that fit your program year.
3
Strengthen the first 90 days
Support new families with simple steps: welcome messages, parent orientation outlines, and role clarity so they feel confident and connected.
4
Improve retention through program quality
Use tools that help leaders deliver engaging activities, youth leadership development, and consistent communication—so Scouts want to come back.
5
Share what works locally
When units discover effective approaches, we help document and share them so other leaders across the peninsula can benefit.
